As the green flag dropped, the race was on, and the competitors jockeyed for position. Vishok Persaud, behind the wheel of his trusty KTM X-Bow GT4, had his sights set on victory. Lap after lap, he pushed the limits, threading through the pack with precision and speed. The clock ticked away, and after 100 grueling laps, Vishok Persaud crossed the finish line in a remarkable 2 hours, 35 minutes, and 27.591 seconds. Not only did he claim the overall victory, but he also reset his previous lap record with a blistering time of 1 minute and 22.421 seconds.
But Vishok Persaud wasn’t the only standout performer on the track. Shiraz Roshandin showcased his skill and determination, completing 98 laps and securing a solid position in the race. Adrian Fernandes and Anand Ramchand were hot on his heels, each with 98 and 96 laps under their belts, respectively, all vying for the coveted overall win.
In the 1500cc class, 16-year-old Anthony Evelyn stunned the crowd by completing 91 laps and emerging victorious, proving that age is no barrier to talent and determination. Meanwhile, Shiraz Roshandin dominated the 1600cc class, solidifying his status as a force to be reckoned with. Richard Hamid showcased his prowess in the 2000cc class, completing 85 laps and clinching a well-deserved victory.
In the Unlimited class, Vishok Persaud emerged triumphant again, capping off a stellar day on the track. His performance was a testament to his skill and determination.
Not to be outdone, the two-wheeled warriors also took to the track. Matthew Vieira completed 12 laps and set a new bike endurance lap record with a time of 1 minute and 20.712 seconds.
The first round of the GMR&SC Dakota 100 Endurance Series had set the bar high for the rest of the season. It was a day filled with thrilling moments, fierce competition, and an undeniable passion for motorsport.
