The promised works on the drag strip ahead of the 1320 heat rematch have been completed.
Following August’s 1320 heat, there was some talk of fixing the ‘bump’ on the track and that work has been completed.
The work which consisted of grinding the bump and resurfacing the area was completed on Thursday.
According to reports, the cost of levelling the bump cost approximately $4,000,000 but the club secured donors who were able to meet the cost.
“I can confirm that we have completed works on the Drag strip at the South Dakota drag strip. That included levelling out the bump that has plagued a lot of competitors so now we can have even faster times,” GMR&SC President Rameez Mohamed said an invited comment.
