The first event and first endurance race of the 2018 season saw a total of 19 competitors registering for participation. Out of 19, there were 14 cars that made it to the start line and 10 enduring the 2 hours to take the checkered flag.
The checkered flag honors went to the team of Adrian Fernandes and Anand Ramchand, who outlasted and out raced the competition to complete a winning total of 83 laps in their 4AGE powered Toyota Levin. The duo’s fastest lap was 1:25.483 and was recorded on the 49th lap.
Class Results
In the 0 – 1500 cc class, the team of Roshan Ali and Mohamed Shahabudin Roshandin took victory in their Honda Civic, completing 76 laps with a best time of 1:28.068.
In addition to their overall victory, the team of Adrian Fernandes and Anand Ramchand also sealed the win for the 1501 – 1600 cc class.
The 1601 – 2000 cc class had only one competitor, Rameez Mohamed, who completed 32 laps in his Toyota Levin. Mohamed also recorded a best time of 1:19.086 which was also the fastest lap for the event.
In the unlimited class (2000 cc & over), 3 cars started the race but only the team of Romeo Singh and Motilall Deodass crossed the finish line, completing 57 laps with a best time of 1:34.373.

Championship
After 1 round, the overall championship is being led by Adrian Fernandes and Anand Ramchand, who are both on 25 points.
The newly introduced mechanics championship is being lead by Balram Ramdeo whose cars racked up a total of 97 points across the 4 classes. Included in his points haul, is a bonus of 2 points for the fastest lap of the race.
The 5 cars under Ramdeo’s stewardship recorded two 1st places, one 2nd place, one 3rd place and one 4th place. In addition to his regular points haul, Ramdeo was awarded the 2 bonus points given for fastest lap.
